Emms and Daniel Hawn Extend Advantage in Standings

The cream rose to the top when the Modifieds and Pro Sprints visited Flamboro Speedway, with their respective points leader taking the victory in the features. Meanwhile, the rest of the field was brought that much closer together with a mix of fortune for everybody.

Now with the Modifieds and Pro Sprints in action this weekend at Peterborough Speedway, here is a critical update.

Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modified Series

A.J. Emms at Sunset Speedway in the OSCAAR Modified Series

After picking up a win at Flamboro Speedway, A.J. Emms kept the points lead, now 30 points ahead of Jason Keen. Anthony DiBello dropped to third after placing outside the top-five, followed by Luke Gignac and Shawn Chenoweth, with the championship wide open as the top-five are only separated by 45 points.

Rookie Norman Newman dropped to sixth in points, followed by Gary Elliott, Jase Cornell, Dale Reinhart, and Brad Pearsall.

Alternatively, Newman leads DiBello by three points in the MavTV Canada Rookie of the Year Standings following the first five features of 2019. Bryan Batty and Jim Bowman round out the rookie points.

In the newly added John Harper Hard Charger Award standings, Norman Newman takes over the top spot, seven points ahead of Reinhart. Cornell sits third, followed by Chenoweth and Emms. The top-five are just separated by 18 points.

The Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modifieds are back in action on Saturday, August 3 at Peterborough Speedway, with their feature presented by The Fyre Place & Patio Shop.

Tyler Hawn at Sunset Speedway in the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series

Two-time and defending series champion Tyler Hawn currently leads Steve Book by 37 points following the series’ fourth event of 2019 at Sunset Speedway, presented by Fox’s Bakery & Deli, and TSS Top Shops.

Two-time heat winner Dalen Martin sits third in points, followed by Nick Clarke and Jeremy McLean. Brandon Robertson sits sixth, followed by Robert Robinson, Dan Rothwell, Adam Misener, and Sean Walker.

Alternatively, Dalen Martin took over the Ohsweken Speedway Rookie of the Year standings, two points ahead of Brandon Robertson. Rodney Rutherford sits third, followed by Bob Parsons and Sean Walker. Robert Robinson sits sixth, followed by Leroy Robinson, Greg Belyea, Bradley Holt, and Ryan Cowan.

In the newly added John Harper Hard Charger Award standings, Steve Book took over the lead by six points over Adrian Foster. Brandon Robertson sits third, followed by Tyler Hawn, Jerry Broom, and Nick Clarke.

The Knightworks Design, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Hot Rod Series is back in action on Saturday, August 10, at Brighton Speedway. The event will be sponsored by Excess Storage, Just Like Home Dog Care Centre, and McDonalds Brighton.

Currently undefeated in feature action, Daniel Hawn currently leads the standings by 29 points over James Stanley. Jaden Riddell’s podium finish moves him up to third, followed by Ryan Battilana and Kelly Summers. The top-five are within 50 points of each other.

Kevin Taylor moves up two spots to sixth, ahead of Brad Holmes, Tyler Cullen, Gary Triska, and Dylan Little.

Alternatively, Brad Holmes leads the Hinkley Lighting Rookie of the Year Standings by four points over Little. Rob McCall sits third, followed by Russ Couture and Owen Elliott.

In the newly added John Harper Hard Charger Award standings, Daniel Hawn holds down the top spot, three points ahead of Jaden Riddell. Ryan Battilana sits third, followed by James Stanley and Tyler Cullen. The top-four are within 12 points of each other.

The Living Lighting, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Pro Sprints will be back in action on August 3 at Peterborough Speedway, with their feature presented by PCI Imageware Corporation.
