Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds at Flamboro Speedway presented by Touchwood Cabinets Preview

MILGROVE, Ontario — Following a thrilling weekend at Sunset Speedway, the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modifieds are back in action this weekend at Flamboro Speedway on Sunday, October 6 for their 50-lap feature presented by Touchwood Cabinets.

A.J. Emms enters this weekend with a 56-point advantage over the field following his fourth straight top-five in the second 36-lap feature of the Iron Man 72 weekend at Sunset Speedway. The Milgrove, Ontario oval has treated him well with a pair of victories and five podiums over the past two seasons.

Luke Gignac enters this weekend hoping to turn things around after a broken part forced him to start-and-park in the second feature at Sunset Speedway. He knows his way around Flamboro as he won an event in June 2017, and has backed it up with three top-five’s in the last four appearances.

Gary Elliott will be looking for another Flamboro win, following a fourth-place finish at Sunset Speedway in the second feature. He knows his way around Flamboro from weekly competition, and has victory lane there in a modified. He has finished sixth and ninth in the pair of features run at Flamboro in 2019.

Dale Reinhart will hope to build momentum following his fifth straight top-10 finish in the second feature at Sunset Speedway. In his previous eight starts at Flamboro, he has seven top-eight’s, including a pair of runner-ups.

Jase Cornell hopes to keep the momentum going following a seventh-place finish at Sunset Speedway. Of note, Flamboro Speedway was the sight of his first career OSCAAR top-10, which he has backed up three times since.

Jason Bowden enters this weekend hoping for his second straight top-10 after finishing 10th at Flamboro Speedway in August. Previously, he posted an eighth at the Milgrove oval in July 2018.

Jeff Showler enters this weekend hoping for his fourth straight top-10 after finishing fifth at Delaware Speedway in August. Earlier this year, he finished eighth at Flamboro in July.

Jason Keen hopes to keep the steady consistency, as he has posted a top-nine finish in the last six OSCAAR events. In his last three starts at Flamboro, he has posted two top-five’s with no finishes worse than eighth.

Wally Wilson hopes to score his first top-10 of the season this weekend, following a rough and tumble weekend at Sunset Speedway. Notably, his best finish to date at Flamboro Speedway is 12th on two occasions.

Anthony DiBello has had a solid OSCAAR season, including a pair of top-five’s two weekends ago at Sunset Speedway. He also finished both OSCAAR events at Flamboro Speedway this season thus far on the podium.

Kelly Balson has been solid all year despite running a limited schedule, with no finishes worse than sixth including a victory at Sunset Speedway. He finished 15th at Flamboro Speedway last October.

MavTV Canada Rookie of the Year Points Leader Norman Newman has only finished one race this season outside of the top-nine, including five top-five’s. In his previous two trips to Flamboro Speedway, he finished seventh and fifth.

Andy Kamrath is currently in the middle of a hot streak, winning three of the four races that he has ran on the tour this season. He was fast at Flamboro Speedway in August, coming back from an early race incident to finish fourth.

Mike Hearty had nothing but bad luck to start the 2019 season, but scored a pair of top-10 finishes at Sunset Speedway. He will hope to continue the good fortune at Flamboro Speedway.

Brad Pearsall has been solid in his return to OSCAAR competition, posting five top-10’s in eight starts this season. He was fast earlier this year at Flamboro Speedway, posting finishes of second and third in the pair of features.

Bob Franks hopes to score his first top-10 finish this weekend after scoring a season-best 11th-place finish at Sunset Speedway.

Bryan Batty hopes the bad luck is behind him entering this weekend as he looks for his first career OSCAAR top-10.

Craig Downey will look to find some good fortune this weekend, after failing to post a top-10 finish at Sunset Speedway. He finished sixth at Flamboro Speedway in August.

After struggling through the beginning of the season, Ken Hayward looks to be turning his season around with an eighth-place finish at Sunset Speedway. He hopes to carry the momentum into this weekend after finishing 16th and 15th in the previous two races at Flamboro this year.

Beyond those mentioned here, there are other drivers that may show-up this weekend so be sure to be in attendance to see these cars in action.
