MILLGROVE, Ontario — In dominating fashion, Andy Kamrath dominated en route to winning the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified feature presented by Just Foam It and Touchwood Cabinets at Flamboro Speedway.
Paul Townsend won the first heat ahead of A.J. Emms, Wally Wilson, Jake Watson, Ken Hayward, and Craig Downey. Coltin Everingham would not take the green flag.
T.J. Edwards was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Kelly Balson, Luke Gignac, Jason Keen, and Bryan Batty. Norman Newman and Jase Cornell would not take the green flag.
Andy Kamrath won the third heat ahead of Dale Reinhart, Steve Trendell, Steve Lyons, Ryan Dick, Brian Wilson, and Tim Gordon.
Come feature time, Paul Townsend led the rest of the field to green in front of Wally Wilson, Andy Kamrath, Dale Reinhart, Kelly Balson, A.J. Emms, T.J. Edwards, Steve Trendell, Luke Gignac, Jason Keen, Steve Lyons, Bryan Batty, Ken Hayward, Ryan Dick, Brian Wilson, Craig Downey, Tim Gordon, Norman Newman, Coltin Everingham, and Jake Watson.
The feature started off on a rough note, as Hayward and Downey made contact going into turn three, with Hayward making significant contact with the outside wall.
The restart would see Andy Kamrath take control of the field in front of Townsend, Balson, Edwards, Gignac, Lyons, Trendell, Keen, Reinhart, Dick, Batty, Emms, Gordon, Watson, Robb, and Everingham. Everingham would pull off the track on Lap 6 with mechanical issues, as Wally Wilson moved into 16th.
Keen would then get by Trendell for seventh on Lap 7, with Reinhart following suit two laps later. Lyons would look to get by Gignac to break into the top-five, but was unable to get by. Instead, he and Wilson would make contact getting into turn one, bringing out the second caution on Lap 14. With 26 laps to go, Kamrath led Townsend, Balson, T.J. Edwards, Gignac, Keen, Reinhart, Trendell, Dick, Batty, Emms, Watson, Gordon, Brian Wilson, and Wally Wilson.
Kamrath got a good restart in front of Townsend, with Edwards alongside Balson for third in front of Keen. Edwards got the spot, with Keen looking to follow him through, but unable to do so before the caution came out on Lap 16 for Gordon going around in turn two.
Kamrath got another good restart, with Edwards moving into second in front of Keen, as Reinhart and Balson battled for fourth. Reinhart got the spot on Lap 18, with Dick running sixth in front of Townsend, Watson, Emms, Gignac, Batty, Trendell and Gordon. Wally Wilson would head off the track with issues on Lap 21, with Balson bringing out the yellow flag six laps later for issues in turn two.
Andy Kamrath got another good restart to score the victory in front of T.J. Edwards, Dale Reinhart, Jason Keen, and Ryan Dick. Jake Watson finished sixth, followed by Luke Gignac, A.J. Emms, Steve Trendell, and Bryan Batty. Paul Townsend placed 11th, followed by Tim Gordon, Kelly Balson, Brian Wilson, Steve Lyons, Wally Wilson, Coltin Everingham, Norman Newman, Craig Downey, and Ken Hayward.
The runner-up for T.J. Edwards allows him to maintain his points lead, 19 markers ahead of Jason Keen with one race remaining.
The next race for the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam It is at Peterborough Speedway on Sunday, October 10. Qualifying will take place on Friday, October 8 and Saturday, October 9.
