LONDON, Ontario — After seeing the party at Sunset Speedway spoiled early, the stars of the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam it are ready for the next event on the calendar, set to take place at Delaware Speedway.
The half-mile track will play host to the modifieds on Saturday, July 24.
As we glance through the field, there are several drivers to keep an eye on.
TJ Edwards has certainly proven you cannot count him out, as the defending series champion currently sits second in the standings. He will make his fourth tour appearance at Delaware Speedway, following a pair of runner-ups and a victory. Notably, he has scored 12 top-five’s in his last 13 series appearances.
It’s been a tale of two tapes for Andy Kamrath over the past couple seasons, as he’s either sitting in victory lane, or watching the checkered flag from the sidelines. Fortunately, those races he has missed are few and far between, with having won 10 of the last 15 features, including last September at Delaware.
Jason Keen knows how to run well at Delaware Speedway, scoring a top-10 in three of his last four appearances, including a runner-up. He also currently has scored a top-10 in 15 of his last 18 tour appearances.
Norman Newman will be looking for a solid run after scoring a best-finish of fourth in three series appearances in 2022. He has scored a top-10 in two of his last four appearances at Delaware, including a fifth.
Dale Reinhart enters this weekend hoping to keep the momentum rolling, following four consecutive top-five’s, marking 20 top-10’s in his last 24 series starts. Although his last trip to Delaware did not start off well with a wreck on the Friday, he rebounded for fifth on the Sunday to go with a win on the half-mile in 2019.
Wally Wilson hopes to be in the thick of the action this weekend, hopeful for his third top-10 of the season. He scored a ninth-place finish in July at Delaware.
Marshall Schrenk enters this weekend with momentum following a top-10 in five of his last six series appearances. He has a bunch of laps at the half-mile, having battled there behind the wheel of a late model. He was fast back in July, picking up a sixth and a fourth.
Tommy Robb enters this weekend looking to turn things around after failing to score a top-10 in his last four series appearances. He placed 17th back in July at Delaware, to go with a 16th last season.
Herb Walters hopes to turn things around this weekend, after placing 14th at Flamboro Speedway. He notably scored a fourth in the season-opener at Sunset Speedway, and was 10th at Delaware in July.
Jake Watson enters this weekend with momentum, following seven straight top-10’s and a heat victory. He placed fourth and eighth at Delaware.
Tyler Liscum hopes to score his fourth top-10 of 2022 this weekend, after picking up a season-best seventh at Peterborough Speedway. He was ninth in July at Delaware Speedway.
Bryan Batty may only be running a partial schedule, but you cannot take your eyes off the No. 39 following four finishes no worse than seventh, including a fifth at Delaware in July.
These drivers, as well as others, are certainly looking forward to making the trip to Delaware Speedway.
