LONDON, Ontario — Starting on the front row, Dale Reinhart wasted no time getting to the top spot en route to winning the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modified feature at Delaware Speedway presented by Lloyd’s Paving.
A.J. Emms won the first heat ahead of Dale Reinhart, Jeff Showler, Jason Keen, Justin Demelo, Mike Hearty, Luke Gignac, and Gary Elliott.
Anthony DiBello won the second heat ahead of Craig Pitchell, Jase Cornell, Bryan Batty, Donny Beatty, Ken Hayward, and Mark Hamacher.
Come feature time, it’d be Anthony DiBello starting on pole ahead of Dale Reinhart, Jase Cornell, Jason Keen, Jeff Showler, Justin Demelo, Bryan Batty, A.J. Emms, Mike Hearty, Ken Hayward, Mark Hamacher, Gary Elliott, Luke Gignac, Norman Newman, Donny Beatty, and Craig Pitchell.
DiBello broke out into the early lead ahead of Reinhart, Keen, Showler, Demelo, and Cornell. Reinhart would make quick work getting to the front, though, passing DiBello for the top spot on Lap 3. Keen moved into second a lap later, bumping DiBello back to third ahead of Showler, Demelo, Emms, Cornell, Batty, and Hearty.
Gignac would get alongside Hearty for ninth on Lap 6 ahead of Hayward, with Pitchell challenging Hayward for 11th a lap later. Gignac moved up into eighth on Lap 8 ahead of Batty, Hearty, Pitchell, Hayward, Beatty and Elliott, as Newman and Hamacher ran side-by-side for 15th.
Demelo would get alongside Showler for fourth on Lap 11, completing the pass a lap later. Emms continued to run sixth ahead of Gignac, Cornell, Batty, and Hearty. Pitchell would get alongside Hearty for 10th on lap 14, as Hayward ran 12th ahead of Beatty and Elliott. Elliott got alongside Beatty for 13th on Lap 16, completing the pass a lap later as Newman looking to follow him through.
Further up in the field, Showler would try to get back by Demelo for fourth on Lap 18, but was unable to complete the pass. Emms continued to run sixth ahead of Gignac, with Cornell and Hearty side-by-side for eighth ahead of Pitchell, Batty, and Elliott. Hearty got the spot on Lap 22, with Pitchell trying to follow him through.
Just past halfway, Reinhart continued to lead ahead of Keen, with DiBello and Demelo side-by-side for third. Contact would be made in the process, cutting down Demelo’s right front tire. Demelo would stop on-track, with the caution coming out on Lap 26. With 15 laps to go, Reinhart led Keen, DiBello, Showler, Emms, Gignac, Hearty, Pitchell, Cornell, Batty, Beatty, Hayward, Elliott, Newman, and Hamacher.
Reinhart got a good restart to maintain the lead ahead of Keen, with Emms alongside DiBello for third. However, the caution came back out on Lap 27 for Beatty going around.
Reinhart got another good restart, with DiBello jumping up to second as Emms got alongside Keen for third. However, the battle wouldn’t last with the caution coming out on Lap 28 for Hearty going around in turn four.
Reinhart kept the good times rolling, with another solid restart as Keen moved back into second, with DiBello and Emms side-by-side for third. There’d be contact, allowing Dibello to take third on Lap 29 as Gignac got alongside Emms for fourth ahead of Showler, Pitchell, and Demelo.
Emms would hold off the challenge, with Showler getting alongside Gignac for fifth a couple laps later. Behind them, Demelo had worked his way back up to seventh ahead of Pitchell, Newman, and Cornell. Emms would get back alongside DiBello for third with six laps to go, completing the pass two laps later.
Dale Reinhart led the rest of the way en route to picking up the win ahead of Jason Keen, A.J. Emms, Anthony DiBello, and Jeff Showler. Luke Gignac finished sixth, followed by Justin Demelo, Craig Pitchell, Norman Newman, and Jase Cornell. Bryan Batty finished 11th, followed by Gary Elliott, Mike Hearty, Mark Hamacher, Donny Beatty, and Ken Hayward.
