Showing that he could run with the front runners and contend for wins, Dale Reinhart capped off a strong 2019 campaign ranked eighth in the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer sales Ltd OSCAAR Modified standings.

Coming into the season, Reinhart was focused on stepping up his game to keep himself in contention with the growth of the series.

“The competition is definitely going to be better than it’s ever been before, I think,” he said pre-season. “It’s kind of has me and my team working as hard as we can in the shop to make sure everything is ready to go for the start of the season.”

After skipping out on Spring Velocity at Sunset Speedway with a trip to the other side of the globe, Dale Reinhart made his 2019 season debut at Jukasa Motor Speedway in style with a sixth-place finish. He then ran inside the top-five at the end of the month all feature long at Sunset, en route to a third-place finish.

The success followed him into July as he scored a third-place finish at Delaware Speedway, before battling inside the top-five once again all feature long at Sunset en route to finishing fourth. He showed speed at Flamboro Speedway as well, but a blown motor would send him off the track mid-feature.

He would be ready to go a week later at Peterborough Speedway, fighting all feature long en route to finishing eighth. He brought his A-game to Delaware Speedway, taking the lead on Lap 3 and holding off the field on a couple late-race restarts en route to the victory. He then capped off the month of August with a strong runner-up at Flamboro.

Reinhart was fast in the short track playoffs as well, scoring a heat victory at Sunset before finishing seventh in the first 36-lap feature as part of the Iron Man 72. He then backed it up with a ninth in the second feature after being involved in a late-race wreck. He would run inside the top-three all feature long at Flamboro a couple weeks later, before an incident took him out of contention.

Despite a rough ending to the season, Dale Reinhart proved once again that he is always someone to contend with for victories whenever the No. 51 Modified is at the track.
