Putting together one of the most impressive rookie campaigns in recent series history, Anthony DiBello placed second in the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modified standings.

Right from the first green flag, DiBello was able to find consistency, scoring a seventh at the season opening feature at Jukasa Motor Speedway. He then battled inside the top-five all feature long at Sunset Speedway en route to a fourth-place finish.

It would not take long for DiBello to hold a checkered flag in his hand, as he won his qualifying heat at Delaware Speedway in June. He then led the beginning laps of the event from the pole, ultimately scoring a runner-up finish. He then completed the month with a solid seventh in his return to Sunset, followed by a ninth at Flamboro Speedway.

The first series event of the season at his home track of Peterborough Speedway allowed DiBello to show well, as he ran in the top-10 throughout the 50-lap feature, before making a late-race charge to finish second.

He then made the most of his return to Delaware with another heat win, followed by battling late side-by-side through the final 15 laps en route to a fourth. Unfortunately, he would not see the checkered flag at Flamboro to complete August, as he was fell out of contention following a mid-race incident.

Dibello managed to rebound quickly, though, scoring a heat win at Sunset, followed by a fourth in the first 36-lap feature. The second half of the Iron Man 72 went even better, as he would pace the field through the early stages before ultimately placing second. He showed speed early at Flamboro with a qualifier victory and leading early in the 50-lap main affair, though contact on a late-race restart relegated him to a ninth-place finish.

The DiBello Racing team would complete their year on a high note, scoring another heat win and third in the Autumn Colours Classic feature at Peterborough.

Despite not reaching feature victory lane, DiBello proved to be a tough contender on a weekly basis en route to a rookie season that will not be forgotten quickly.
