Even though he did not reach victory lane on dirt, Tyler Hawn still holds a sizable points lead ahead of Steve Book. Though behind them, it’s easy to see how the clay mixed things up.
With the Modifieds in action this weekend at Delaware Speedway, here is a critical update.
Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modified Series
A solid top-10 finish at Peterborough Speedway allows A.J. Emms to hold a 31 point advantage, with Anthony DiBello moving up to second following his podium finish. Shawn Chenoweth moves up to third with his victory, followed by Jason Keen and Luke Gignac, with the championship wide open as the top-five are only separated by 41 points.
Rookie Norman Newman remains sixth in points, followed by Gary Elliott, Jase Cornell, Dale Reinhart, and Brad Perasall.
Alternatively, Newman leads DiBello by two points in the MavTV Canada Rookie of the Year Standings following the first five features of 2019. Bryan Batty and Jim Bowman round out the rookie points.
In the newly added John Harper Hard Charger Award standings, Norman Newman continues to hold the top spot, six points over Cornell. Chenoweth sits third, followed by Reinhart and Emms. The top-five are just separated by 12 points.
The Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modifieds are back in action on Saturday, August 17 at Delaware Speedway, with their feature presented by Lloyd’s Paving.
Knightworks Design, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Hot Rod Series
Two-time and defending series champion Tyler Hawn currently leads Steve Book by 36 points following the series’ fifth event of 2019 at Brighton Speedway, presented by Excess Storage, McDonald’s Brighton, and Just Like Home Dog Day Care.
Nick Clarke moves up to third in points, followed by Jeremy McLean and Dalen Martin. Bob Parsons moves up to sixth, followed by Brandon Robertson, Robert Robinson, Dan Rothwell, and Rodney Rutherford.
Alternatively, Bob Parsons took over the the Ohsweken Speedway Rookie of the Year standings, a single point ahead of Rutherford. Dalen Martin slips back to third, followed by Robertson and Sean Walker. Robert Robinson sits sixth, followed by Leroy Robinson, Greg Belyea, Bradley Holt, and Ryan Cowan.
In the newly added John Harper Hard Charger Award standings, Steve Book took over the lead by six points over Adrian Foster. McLean moves up to third, followed by Robertson and Hawn.
The Knightworks Design, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Hot Rod Series is back in action on Saturday, August 24, at Flamboro Speedway. The event will be sponsored by Ohsweken Speedway.
Living Lighting Canada, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Pro Sprints
A runner-up at Peterborough Speedway allows Daniel Hawn to keep the points lead, now 26 points ahead of James Stanley. Rob Summers moves up to third virtue of his top-five finish, followed by Ryan Battilana and Brad Holmes.
Kevin Taylor sits sixth, followed by Tyler Cullen, Jaden Riddell, Dylan Little, and Gary Triska.
Alternatively, Brad Holmes leads the Hinkley Lighting Rookie of the Year Standings by six points over Little. Ross Couture sits third, followed by Rob McCall and Owen Elliott.
In the newly added John Harper Hard Charger Award standings, Daniel Hawn holds down the top spot, 11 points ahead of James Stanley. Jaden Riddell drops to third, followed by Ryan Battilana and Rob Summers. The top-four are within 18 points of each other.
The Living Lighting, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Pro Sprints will be back in action on August 24 at Flamboro Speedway, with their feature presented by Metro Air.
