Reinhart took over fourth on Lap 5, with Emms, Edwards, Gignac, and Kamrath following him through over the next three laps to bump Schrenk back to ninth ahead of Balson.

Edwards got the spot a lap later, bringing Kamrath through with him, whom immediately got alongside him. Keen would take over second on Lap 12, with Kamrath following him through. Kamrath continued to move forward, taking over second on Lap 14, as Keen now ran third ahead of Everingham, Reinhart, Edwards, Emms, Gignac, Schrenk, Balson, Cornell, Lyons, Downey, and McLean.

Lyons looked to move forward, getting alongside Cornell 11th on Lap 18, making the move, bringing Downey through with him. Cornell now ran 13th ahead of McLean, as the caution came out on Lap 20 for Edwards spinning Reinhart. At the halfway mark, Newman led Kamrath, Keen, Everingham, Edwards, Emms, Gignac, Schrenk, Balson, Downey, Lyons, McLean, Cornell, Dick, Gordon, Wilson, Townsend, and Reinhart.

Kamrath got a good restart to take over the top spot ahead of Newman, with Keen now third ahead of Edwards, Everingham, Emms, Schrenk, Balson, Lyons, and McLean, with Reinhart, Cornell, and Dick three-wide for 12th.

Balson looked to move forward, challenging Schrenk for seventh on Lap 26. Unfortunately, Schrenk’s night got a little worse, as he’d go around on Lap 29. With 11 laps to go, Kamrath led Newman, Edwards, Keen, Everingham, Emms, Gignac, Balson, Downey, Lyons, McLean, and Gordon.

Kamrath got a good restart ahead of Newman, Edwards, and Keen, with Everingham and Emms side-by-side for fifth, as Gignac and Balson battled for seventh. Emms moved into fifth on Lap 35, with Gignac taking over seventh a couple laps later.
